Thanks is advance for any help anyone can give to me on this, I’m new to posting in this forum but not to the tutorials and info creative cow makes accessible, thanks guys!

any way here is my issue… I’m running a 2.5 GHZ dual G5, 4 gigs ram, AE 6.5 and stock video card. I mainly do graphic heavy CID spots, lots of motion, filters, vector illustrations, and camera effects. Now I’m sure this alone taxes the hell out of the machine, however I’m stuck with my pinwheel almost every other click. I scrub the playback and I get a pinwheel, I click a a new layer I get a pinwheel, I change the percentage of any effect and I get a pinwheel… I think you get the idea. Its driving me crazy, so much so I want to chuck the whole computer out the window (but that would be crazy talk).

Is this a video card issue? If so, I don

Have you downloaded the 6.5.1 update from Adobe?

(By the way, it’s the BBOD, or “Beach Ball of Death”.)

    🙂

I’m installing the upgrade now, hope it helps.

    Thanks… BBOD… that’s good!
