    Hi,

Im working on a commercial shot on Red Epic.
Suddenly out of nowhere the clips on the timeline started blinking pink/magenta. I can see it when I play the clips, but also on the thumbnails. I have never experienced this before on any red footage.

    The color science is YRGB.
When changing from lets say “redlogfilm” to something else, and back – everything is going back to normal.

    Any idea?

For all it’s worth – what’s your hardware setup?

    Hi,

The setup is the same as before, declink, a couple of graphic cards and a red rocket in the recommended slots.
The only difference is that I did upgrade to Lion and the latest davinci patch with the latest drivers.

Really noone that have experienced this magenta/pink blinking?

Nope, I haven’t seem this. What camera is this from? Whats the firmware. I’ve seen funky issues from certain camera firmware combos. Did you update the rocket firmware? Could be a rocket issue. I’ve seen them fail.

simple way would be to remove rocket and see.

my first guess would also be rocket.

Go into System Settings, Blackmagic Resolve driver, cycle on and off or turn off 444 and it should revert back.

    Hi Jamie,

I cant find a way to cycle on/off the black magic resolve driver and turn off 444, where to do that?

System *Preferences*, not settings, (sorry) window there should be a driver at the bottom “Blackmagic Design” with the yellow squares…

If I cycle “Use 4:4:4 SDI on video” it usually gets rid of the 444 signal that gives you those colors.
