    I’ve searched on here and found plenty of discussion but none of the responses have worked.

    Anyway, here’s what happens. Drag a clip on to the timeline and it deletes the audio track from the clip that’s already there. Therefore, creating a pink out of sync area for the previous clip. I’ve grouped, ungrouped, auto ripple check, etc etc.

    What else should I try?

    Open Vegas afresh, then go to Options and select Ignore event grouping,
    then now follow your same procedure and see…
