I’ve asked for help on this before and had some great suggestions on how to shoot it. I’ve filmed an old television set (pan and zoom into screen) and now want to place either noise or a count down (or whatever) on the screen.

I stuck round dots on the screen for a reference, one in each corner and one in the centre, couldn’t blue it out as the screen is behind another piece of glass.

My question is this: I’ve got a black mask of the screen, traced from the shot as it levels up, and put red dots to match the ones actually on the screen. Can I get after effects to lock the two sets of dots together so the mask will follow the screen on the pan?

If not, is there another way or a tutorial online which can tell me how to do it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Alex.
