Picture size for panning and zoom for slide show.
Hi all, im very new to sony vegas pro 10. I have unlimited access to it at my school and had a few questions. im in the process of making a sorta of motion comic with still pictures and voice overs. what i wanted to know is:
what picture size / res should i use to fill the entire screen if this project will be burned to dvd ? i dont want to have black spaces on each side of the picture. also, like i said in the title, i will be zooming in and / or panning on some pictures to give it more life. so, since i wanted to add this panning / zoom effects towards the end of the project, i want all my pictures to be the same size. i do have a script written out but, i dont want to finish the project and decide “hmmm, this scene would benefit from zooming in on this object” but damn, the quality looks horrible when zoomed in on. so thats why i would like recommendations for the size of the picture.
alot of people say “just go with the highest quality your camera offers” but then id have to do ALOT of resizing and id before not to do alot of extra work.
one last question, lets say i decided to make the movie all video instead of just pictures, again what size would be good for zooming / panning?
thanks in advanced all, i hope this makes sense. ive been having a hard time getting anyone to say sizes on this picture project at all. 🙁
