Picture Profile for a Western-ish, sepia, O Brother look
Hi all,
Just about to start on a low-budget feature on the EX1 and the look we’re going for is something of a cross between 3:10 to Yuma and O Brother Where Art Thou. Basically, tone down the greens, up the oranges and yellows, allow some foreground colors to pop while trying to mute the background as much as posible to give it a 1930s depression era look.Should I try to dial in as near an approximation with my picture profiles or would it be better to go with a more basic PP (like the Vortex Media suggestions) and style in post?
The lighting team knows exactly what we’re shooting for and will do what they can with gels, but I don’t know how much of a “look” I should try to dial in with the picture profiles or what the settings would be if I go that route. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Best,
MichaelBTW, I’ll have access to a ridiculously nice post facility so render time isn’t a problem, but I’m definitely not a colorist and don’t have the $ to hire one.
