Is there any way to get a picture or a video inside a moving frame (like picture in picture) that follows the frames movement, any easier way? Right now im using track motion and scaled the picture to the approx size and just moved it frame by frame to match the movement, but it took me a LONG time and it still looks wierd, because in track motion you cant change the nodes or the corners to fit the frame as you do on a mask…
so is there any easier and more accurate way to do this, by using a mask and making the picture fit the square mask or something??? please help me!

Im making the HP frame commercial effect just for information…

I show you some techniques to do this in my tutorial:

Using Parent Motion to make a moving film strip

You shouldn’t have to keyframe every frame. Just a begin and end keyframe should be enough.

Thank you very much, you always answer me 😀

Anyways i had already seen the tutorial you posted , but the frame movement isn’t linear, it moves up, down, diagonal etc…so a single keyframe at the end would not follow…

I think im gonna have to learn After effects from zero just to be able to use the better motion track :/

Nope. All you need to do is purchase Boris Continuum Complete (BCC7) for Vegas Pro 10 and you can use Motion Tracking right from within Vegas. No need to go to AE.

Watch my “Match Move in Sony Vegas Pro” tutorial on Boris TV so see how it’s done:
