PI project won’t generate alpha
Hi,
I’ve created a PI project. I’m rendering it as Quicktime uncompressed (none), Millions of Colors +. I’ve checked “Save Alpha” and “Create non-intense alpha.”
I’ve trided ths over and over and have checked my settings, but I continue to get a file with no alpha.
I’m able to render other PI projects with an alpha.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

By “no alpha” do you mean that it’s a 24-bit (instead of 32-bit) file, or that the alpha channel is “empty” (all black)?
Remember that when “create non-intense alpha” is checked, any “intense” particles are not included in the alpha channel.

Hi Alan,
I’m rendering a 32 bit file. I mean that the alpha channel is blank. When I choose “view alpha” in the View menu, I see an alpha channel. After rendering and finding the alpha channel blank (after checking it in After Effects), I choose view alpha in PI and the alpha image is no longer there.

Ah, oops…
You’re right, I just tried it without selecting ignore intense… I assumed there would be some areas that were not intense. I was wrong. After not selecting ignore intense, my alpha channel was there.
