PI Alpha Channel issues
Like Steve O’Hearn, I just purchased Particle Illusions and can’t output with an alpha channel. I edit with Canopus 3.5 and I get the same results with Canopus lossless as well. I’ve down-loaded both Lagarith and Huffy UV from a couple of sites but none have the install icon (eg., right-click Lagarith.inf. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure what you mean. “Same results?”

By “same results” with Canopus lossless, I meant the Alpha Channel Option in the output options is not enabled. I did download Lagarith and the alpha channel option is enabled. However, when attempting to open the rendered file for editing in Canopus, I’m unable to do so. This may be an issue for Canopus to deal with now, though any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Ah — we only enable alpha channel output for AVI codecs that are on an internal list. We’ll have to add the Canopus lossless to that list in the next update.
Anybody else have any codecs that they know supports alpha channel, but particleIllusion doesn’t enable the “save alpha” option for?
