i am prepping several support graphics, some just in photoshop and some simple aftereffects animations, that will be used in a video being built in avid. my question is what is the best way to prepare the files for avid? some of the stills and animations will need to have transparency. do i just give them alpha channels? mattes? if so how? i will probalby also post this in the photoshop and avid forum.

    thanks

A simple Tiff or Targa Sequence. Be sure to invert the matte while importing it into a Avid. Couldn’t be more easy… Using the Avid codec with QuickTime files is not always handy, but can be significantly faster during import.

    Cheers, Lars
