    Howdy Guys

Weird, Dropped a layer PS file with Text layers. Applied a Blur effect to the layer. When the effect is complete (2 seconds long), the text layer shifts down by few pixels enough to notice the jump. Any ideas? When effects are applied to PS layers any special tricks?
I am using a simple 8bit DV50 Preset with Kona
    Thanks

Are you looking at the rendered output on a video monitor?

    All the best,

    Tom

“…the text layer shifts down by few pixels enough to notice the jump”

A one pixel shift is enough to be visible.

“When the effect is complete (2 seconds long) …”

Have had similar issues myself; one workaround – if you can work this into your situation – is to have the filter active for the entire clip.
When you want it ‘off’ give it its minimum value, but greater than 0.
For example, if you have keyframe a blur off over time, from say 25 to 0, make the ‘0’ value 0.1 instead.

hope that leads you to a solution.

    cheers.
