Photoshop Temp File Filling up my Startup Drive (Can’t Continue Work)
I use lots of big psd files in After Effects for projects, which isn’t controversial I’d think.
My problem is, apparently even after moving the Photoshop scratch disk locations and the AE media cache locations, After Effects makes a massive 20+GB Photoshop temp file on my smaller SSD startup drive whenever I open the project in question.
Is there no way to change the location of this temp file? It eventually gets so big that it prevents me adding new psd files to the project and gives me error messages. This seems absurd because I have a decently large second hard drive with plenty of space left, but a much smaller startup SSD drive. I appear unable to move this temp file to the bigger drive.
Am I out of luck and just need to get a bigger startup drive? But what if the same problem happens again? I am very confused. If this isn’t a bug, how does everyone else do this? Any help is appreciated.
