  • Photoshop-style layer styles in FCP?

    Hi all:

I know that you can make drop shadows and bevels from within FCP, but I’m wondering: what about other effects? Specifically, what about Photoshop/AE’s “inner shadow”? I’m in the middle of a project where I’ll have several shots in “windows” within the same frame, and it would look good if they had the “inner shadow” effect applied, so that it looks as if they had been carved from the background. Is there any plugin/option that I’ve overlooked?

(Of course, I could make a PSD with the shadow and an alpha channel and overlay it over each window, but it’s kinda cumbersome, so it would be really better to do it natively).

Take a look at Joe’s Filters, he has an “inner shadow” filter.

Boris has some of this kind of thing too.

    Have a wonderful day.

Create file in PS and save as png. All your layer styles will show up nice in FCP.
