photoshop preferences
where is the preferences file for photoshop stored in windows? i use a mac but a co-worker is having some problems with photoshop on windows and i want to try trashing the preferences and relaunching but i can’t find the file.
a specific directory string would be appreciated.

For CS2: Users/ [user profile]/ Library/ Preferences/ Adobe Photoshop CS2 Settings
The exact location has changed depending on which version. You can boot photoshop, and then hold down shift, ctrl option immediately after to get the menu asking you to reset the preferences.
