Photoshop Modified DPX no longer recognized in Resolve….!?!
I coulda sworn I did this some Resolve versions ago without issue, but now I’m having trouble:
I’m working 4K DPX in Resolve17 (because I need Revival Dust removal) but there is some damage in the scanned film neg, so I’ve needed to pull a few frames into Photoshop for repairs. But Adobe there wants to save the modified frames as Cineon adding (something) the .cin suffix. When I try to put the .cin frames back into Resolve, it leaves them offilne, no longer recognizes just those frames. Insuring the names are identical and changing them back to .dpx makes no difference.
The mac directory labels the modified saves as “cin file” when it sees the dpx as “document.” But this may be because MacOS doesn’t know what .dpx is.
Anybody know what I’m doing wrong or have a suggestion?
TIA,
