I am creating animated titles in AE 7 that I am also making stills of. I would love to create a render module template so that I could render both the Lossless+Alpha .AVI file and the photoshop layers file at the same time.

Right now I am rendering the movies, and then using COMPOSITION > Save Frame As > PHOTOSHOP LAYERS to get the stills.

Are there output module settings in the queue that would create an equivalent targa or tiff file that I could use in Premiere? I’ve tried a half a dozen different settings within the output module to make those stills, and they either don’t end up with alpha that Premiere recognizes, or they are JUST the alpha channel.

Suggestions? I’m sure it’s something simple, I just haven’t been able to figure it out.

The bit about changing the Frame Default setting under Output Module Templates was a good suggestion. I was able to figure out which file format and alpha method to use (I actually think I’m going to go with a PNG/Premult. It has the lowest file size of any of the methods I’ve tried!)

If nothing else this method you’ve suggested will allow me to use the keyboard shortcut for Save Frame As File instead of mouse clicking to get to Save Frame As Photoshop Layers. PLUS it saves me the trouble of telling Premiere Pro how to handle the Photoshop file whence I import it.

I do about a hundred of these things a week, so even that little bit is a nice time/energy saver. 🙂 Thanks a lot!
