Photoshop layers import wrong
Hello,
I am trying to import a Photoshop file as a sequence (merged has the same problem though).In the photoshop file I have a series of layers created using the rectangle tool that are used to highlight particular sections of a text based document. In photoshop the rectangles are only an outline without any fill. When I import the file into Premiere CS 5.5 the rectangles are filled and do not then allow me to see the text beneath.
I’ve done this same thing with another project– I believe using the same style rectangle–and did not have any problems.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Try doing this in a brand new project. If it works, import the old project into the new one and see if that helps.
