  Photoshop Hand tool weird behavior???

  First things first; I am using CS6 installed locally on my desktop. A windows 7 machine

  This is one of those things that just drives me crazy and I can’t figure it out. Using the shortcut keys though this issue seems to happen regardless of whether I choose the tool from the tools pallet or if I’m just switching between the zoom tool (alt key) and the Hand tool.

  Here’s what is happening; when the Hand tool is active and I click to drag, instead of dragging the view zooms in. Regardless of where I click how I click it does this. Eventually after navigating away from the hand tool and back to it by round about means it will eventually behave as expected i.e. Click and Drag & it drags around the work window / work space.

  Can anyone tell me what is happening and how to stop it.
  I’ve been using Photoshop since version 4.0 and I don’t recall ever having this issue.
