Photoshop files
Problems editing photoshop files – after editing the layers individually I then place them in a new sequence. There are 11 seperate files and when they are placed in the new sequence they take up about 4 minutes. As I get near to completing this an error message appears saying not found and the canvas window becomes red and says Display unavailable close and re-open to restore. I quit fcp and when I try and open the sequence again it is not found. then it sayss error: out of memory. Thanks for your time.

I would try this;
open a new project and select and dragg everything from the brownser of the first project to the new, Save , close and open the new project. normally works.

Sounds like you don’t have enough RAM. Since you provided zero details about your system, this would be my best blind guess.
