Photoshop files into HDV timeline
Posted by Shannon Bedford on October 13, 2010 at 4:36 amWhat settings should I use to make the perfect photoshop file for importing into a HDV project?
I’m having issues with keeping transparency & correct aspect ratio.
cheers,

October 13, 2010 at 6:33 amIn photoshop simply create a new document and select the flavor of HDV you’re using. Drag the completed photoshop file into a bin and it will come in as a layered sequence. All your transparency settings should be retained. Or, alternatively save a copy as a png file which will also retain all your transparency.

October 13, 2010 at 6:55 amI’ve selected preset 1080p (I’m using 1080i but it’s not an option). But the option to give it a transparent background is greyed out.

October 14, 2010 at 1:23 amThanks Pirate Bret, I didn’t realise you could just delete the background once it was set. I’m pretty sure the old versions didn’t let you do that.
Funny thing is, when I restarted photoshop today and tried again, “transparent” is no longer greyed out. I have no idea what has changed but everything is now as it should be.
Cheers
