April 23, 2007 at 1:14 pmYep, just import as composition in AE and I use cropped layers, so when you rotate the individ layers the anchor point is central to the layer.
Question – does anybody NOT use cropped layers? I can’t think of a situation where it doesn’t make more sense?!?
Oh, SRoughan – make sure you flatten any layer styles before importing into AE, as most of them don’t translate properly and will look awful! AE CS3 will be fixing this though it seems…

April 24, 2007 at 10:43 amSorry, didn’t realise you meant that.
Does anyone who has AE CS3 beta installed (I’m not allowed at work) know if you can export to PS layers with editbale text/layer styles intact?
That would be an AWESOME feature. If they can now go one way, surely the logical step is to be able to go the other aswell? Would be very useful for archiving and sending comps to print designers, etc. Though that may be tonne harder to achieve?…
