Photoshop and Kona 3 question

That’s actually how I’ve been doing this all along. Honestly have not looked at PS3 to see if it support a Video Preview like After Effects does. I’ll check that in the morning.

Oh boy. The only answers are non-acceptable. The only way to do this via the Kona is through the Kona Desktop function. You CAN display a video preview out of Photoshop via Firewire, as Photoshop CS has that capability built in. The video preview feature of Photoshop does not support cards however, only firewire.

Yep, that’s what it says in the Help menu. Drag and drop over to the Desktop Display is still the only way or bring the image into After Effects.

Echo Fire by Synthetic Aperture will display the Photoshop “canvas” out the kona card, and not by the desktop cheat either.

there is a macro which will export the photoshop “canvas” to
kona 3, and can also compnesate aspect ratio, superimpose title safe, and so on. (*the app was developed specifically for video monitor previews of photoshop while working in photodhop.

even though its not as good a product as kona, blackmagic claims it supports photoshop previews as well as ae when you install their devices
