  Photos with red and warm regions create higher filesize… Why?

  Tonight I optimized 50 images for an upcoming website.

  I noticed, again and again, that JPG photos rich in reds and warm-tones weigh more in filesize than images primarily in greens, blues and cool-tones.

  What’s up with that, I wonder?
