Photo Sweeping Effect
Hi,
I’m editing an Investigative Mockumentry and I’m trying to put together the intro for it but I’m having trouble achieving the effect I want.
It’s an effect I’m sure you have seen on openers for shows and such, it’s like there’s a desk of photos and it pans from one over to the next like they all scattered together. But I can’t seem to work out a way to pan from to the next and have it look like they are all together on the same surface, and it looks horrible panning off a photo into black and then quickly onto another. Is there any way of achieving this sort of effect in Sony Vegas? I’m using Sony Vegas 10 by the way.
Obviously I’m not looking to see a desk, just the effect of the photos as if their scattered on a surface and we’re majestically panning from one, and then over to the other and so forth. I’d like them to partially overlap to add the realism of the effect and perhaps a tip on making the movement flow instead of being a mechanical pan crop motion.
Also a side question, if I wanted to put footage into my text, as in have a fire burning inside transparent text, but also have a transparent background so I can put another set of footage BEHIND the burning text, how can I do this without having the footage for the transparent text (the fire) showing through on the transparent background?
Much appreciated, oh great masters of editing *bows*
