Photo Mosaic
I have looked through the posts on this subject, and I can’t find the answer to my question. I have been going over this tutorial:

And I have it animated, but the “cards” are not split on the edges of my pictures. I made the rows and columns the same in both Andreamosaic and Card Dance and they still don’t line up.
Any suggestions?

I have never used Andreamosaic before, but I did look at the screenshots. Based on the sample they showed, the image pattern appeared to be brick-like, where every row is offset from the row above it. Not sure if you can or did change that so all the images line up in a grid pattern, since the card dance effect will need to have them all aligned. Also make sure your comp is square pixels, I’ve had undesirable results with the card dance effect when my pixel aspect ratio was not 1:1.

I made sure that the mosaic was in a standard grid and not offseat, and I have changed pixel aspect ratios to no avail also.

OK, so I answered my own questions. The problem I was having was with the math. When I told andreamosiac to make it 2500 tiles (50×50) it was telling me it was making it 51×51. Wha? I don’t know. Under the more options setting you can specify the number of tiles and then it appears to trim the edges to make it fit the desired dimensions.
