Phantom 3 losing transmission signal – tablet issue?
I have been using a Phantom 3 for the past couple years. Early on, I used my little iPhone to control the software and view my flights. It worked well, but the small screen wasn’t so great.
Recently, I saw that the drone will work with an Acer Iconia tab 8 which I own. I’ve tried it a few times and the big screen is great, but whenever I get much distance between myself and the drone, I seem to lose the video feed. I then have to “return to home” to get it back closer to me and resume filming. Also, the video recording has arbitrarily stopped and started on its own, without a start/stop beep, which means I lose footage if I don’t see the time code numbers have stopped.
Is this likely an issue with the tablet vs some other problem with the drone?
