Persistence of vision effect (with lights)
Hello,
I had to film an art installation with moving lights (you can see a short extract in the link below):
As I expected, because of the camera shutter speed (I tried different setups), the result on the camera is quite different from the reality. Indeed, at high speed, the lines were not interspersed but continuous (a little bit like this : https://i.ytimg.com/vi/PmJ2q3fOQ5o/maxresdefault.jpg )
Do you have any idea if it’s possible to achieve that effect in After Effects ?
Perhaps like a super glow effect that I don’t know of? Or by playing with the speed?
Any ideas are welcome!

echo….just play with the echo effect…its slow but worth while

I’ve been using AE for years now and I never thought about echo for that. It’s perfect!
Thank you Richard, it was a great idea. You just solved my problem.
Combined with a glow effect, the result is great.
