    Hi,

I have a series of 3d animations I have created for property walk through s. My client has now asked for line drawing versions. Is there an effect or way of doing this with after effects as a post process?.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Dave,

    Thanks for your rapid response.

The animations were created in 3DS Max.

I was hoping I could apply some kind of filter to the animation in AE a bit like one of the sketch filters in photoshop.

I did render them out as png`s but I think I have deleted the original png’s now.

I want to avoid the render times and I think my client would like to avoid this as well.

    Regards

    Brett

He expects miracles, he knows what the current climate is like and knows I need work and he pays cash.

Oh I used to work for lockhead and general dynamics here in the UK. I know what you mean. Every single change would always mean loads of overtime.

    Those were the days.

    1. Use a pencil drawing plugin inside 3DS Max itself. You won’t have to render full quality, just enough for the plugin to work its magic.

    2. use file scavenger to recover your deleted files and use
this free program for pencil drawing once you have rendered to an avi.

    3. buy a pencil plugin for AE like DigiPaint.
