I’ve been trying to save a job as a PDF and I’m getting two problems:

-It duplicates the PDF as a smaller version that is not scaled correctly.

-The printing company we use keeps calling to tell me that not only is it sized incorrectly, it’s showing two sets of bleed lines.

I’m convinced the duplicated error is making more than one bleed that is messing up the finished PDF that I am sending to them. Any suggestions? I downloaded presets from their site that set our files up to be printed with their bleed lines, and it hasn’t been a problem until now.

    A) Which version of Illustrator do you have?

    B) How do you generate the PDF?

Regardless of the answer to the above:

    – The “save as” is the most straightforward way to do it.

    – I don’t know any way to accidentally shrink the document. Illustrator saves the PDF document at the size it is. I would check that you have the document settings how you think they are (inches/cm/points/pixels).

    – The double crop marks are probably “Japanese” style cropmarks, select “roman” instead.
