    Hello,

I need to produce a PDF document where I’ll embed JPG images that are 72 dpi. The Illustrator preview shows the images at the same size as when opening them by themselves. However, when I create a PDF out of the Illustrator document, the PDF pages are larger than the Illustrator preview, and the images are scaled upwards and become pixelated.

I have tried various options, including “Illustrator default” when creating the PDF, with no luck.

When using a 300 dpi photo instead of 72 dpi, there is no pixelation but the PDF is still larger in size than the Illustrator preview.

Any info on how to produce a PDF out of Illustrator so that embedded JPGs will have their original resolution and no pixelation would be appreciated. I do wonder why the output PDF pages are larger in size than in the Illustrator application – pixels should be pixels, no?

    Cheers
    Janne
