PD 170 !!
As I am very much new to Avid Xpress Pro HD, i need to as a very basic question which i am not able to crack. I shot some footage on Sony DSR PD 170 at 25 frames per second i.e. Pal on DVCAM . I myself think that Pd 170 offers interlaced scanning of video only.If i am wrong do correct me.
And what project settings should i apply on my Avid xpress Pro HD .

The format to use is DV25 PAL 25i.
This is a standard DV25 interlaced format.
The DRS-PD170 only allows: 25i PAL or 30i NTSC depending on version. The camera also has a 25/15FPS (depending on PAL or NTSC version)progessive mode but this is designed for capturing still/time-lapsed images rather than video footage.
