Ok I found a product for my tower.

for $160 you can get a pci card to an external pcmcia slot adapter with a 1 foot cable. this allows you to put the p2 slot on your tower and load the P2 cards from the front of the computer rather than the back.

They say it has been tested on G4’s and P2 cards and it works great.

So for $100 more dollars you can get a P2 bay infront of your mac G5 tower.

I’m also going to order one and try it out. Sorry but $2000 for Panasonic’s 5 P2 bay adapter or $160 for a 1 slot after market product…

with a 14 day return policy I’m spending the $160.

Anyone forsee any problems?

I’m actually a Windows user, so I won’t be able to see if it works for any of the Mac OS’s or not. I will keep everyone posted on my findings though. 😉

Actually you can – just install the P2 driver for the camera you’re using and put it (the camera) in PC mode. The device in question should appear to your computer as an external hard drive.
