  PC workflow (matrox/BM) avi to Mac workflow

  Hello All

  New to the Creative cow and video editing in general.

  I was just looking for some guidance on a workflow

  The situation :
  I am a in-house resource at company , we outsource our video editing and shooting.

  We outsource our editing to a PC house PPRO 5.5/ they capture with matrox/and BM cards and work with avi

  They have sent me the files of a complete project:

  And I cannot preview the avi on the mac because they are using MJPG codec

  Which is not available for the mac.

  My question is what Codec and format should I ask them to render to replace the avis

  My company got me an:

  2.7GHz quad-core
  16gb ram
  500gb SSD HD
  External terabyte

  Adobe CS6 Suite
