PC Hardware help
Hey all. So my computer at work has failed on me one too many times, and they have decided to get a me a new one. They’ve asked me what to get, but I’m a mac guy and I don’t know what kind of specs a good PC should have for After Effects work. I work on 1080p footage and consistently use some memory devouring effects, so I need something fairly powerful. But I’m not doing any huge 3D renders and the budget isn’t gigantic, so I can’t request a dream machine either. Any suggestions about models, ram, graphics cards, etc.. would be super apreciated, and links to product pages would be even better. Thanks.

Thanks. Although I’m on a workstation right now, and a bit weary of it, I’ll chalk it up to poor treatment by the previous users. What about the different intel chips, and graphics cards?
