  PC Build Suggestions for Resolve editing

  I’m not a big computer guy so I’ve been researching what I need in my next pc. I plan to use Resolve. I’m shooting 1080 ProRes now but may eventually shoot 4k and may experiment with raw. I don’t need a Ferrari just something that can get it done without headaches. Around 2K is my budget. Here’s what I’m thinking:

  Intel i7 6800K
  GTX 1070 gpu
  ASUS X99-a motherboard
  32gb of Corsair Vengence LPX RAM
  500gb SSD for OS
  I don’t want a RAID and would prefer to load up the case with 7200rpm drives but was told that the drives can create heat and that I should use an external docking station for the drives instead. Suggestions?

  Not sure on the case either but definitely want one that is very quiet. Suggestions for that?

  Not sure on the cooler either but have read people recommending Corsair Hydro 100 series.

  Any suggestions would be appreciated!
