  Pbs recording v.o. with FCP and Alesis io2

  Hello,

  I just got the Alesis io2 audio interface to record voice over in FCP 6.0.4. FCP recognizes it but no sound except from the cue beeps comes through, although the recording works. I’m not getting any levels. I get the recording and then the finishing message but no saving message and nothing gets saved on the timeline either.

  My settings in FCP are: Source io2, input io2, rate 48000Hz. The sequence is at 48000 Hz, HDV 1080i50. I set my in and out points. Target is set to a free track.

  My settings on the Alesis io2:
  I tried to plug in 2 different microphones with different cables, tried mic 1 and mic 2 inputs. Mics seem to work since sound comes out if I plug headphones into io2. 48V phantom power is set on. I get levels.

  So I’m at a loss. Any suggestion?
