  Paul’s Wish List for April 2006

  I would like to:

  1. Be able to see both fields displayed (simultaneously) on my computer screen when paused on the timeline.
  2. Be able to resize the Composer display to 100% image size. For example, each image pixel is mapped to each display pixel. There should also be 50% and 25% image size choices.
  3. Full screen video would remain full screen (and not pop in and out) for cost effective monitoring.
  4. Be able to capture HDV footage shot at 1080 25p into the avid and use it in a 1080 23.976p HDV project with the 4.1% audio adjustment made during capture. The Cineform codec for Premiere Pro does this and I used it all the time. This would be similar to the current Avid 24p PAL project.
  5. See A HDV Mojo with DVI and HDSDI inputs and outputs for monitoring and layback.
  6. HDV Scene Extraction.
  7. The Maximum default capture time changed to something close to reality, like 60 minutes. Why is there no unlimited option?
  8. For Avid to break the 2GB AVI barrier on export. Are you aware that this is old news ever since NTFS was introduced?
  9. The ability to retain the Clip Name field during manual capture so that I can modify it.
  10. The ability to control the automatic incrementation of clip names, including the number of leading zeros.
  11. Dominos Pizza AVX plug-in to allow you to order pizza directly from the timeline.
