Scrolling text will make a new line ONLY at a paragraph mark or new line mark. This means that if you paste a paragraph in to the scrolling text, the whole paragraph will be on only one line when it scrolls.

If you want that paragraph to be on several lines (like it appears in word or text edit) you have to put paragraph marks within the paragraph, at the place where you want a new line.

Scolling text makes a new line where there is a paragraph mark. Conversely, scrolling text does NOT make a new line if there is no paragraph mark there — even if there was a new line in Word or Text edit.

Word and text edit make new lines (wrap the text to another line) based on the page margins and other factors. Scrolling text box in Final Cut does not.

From word, set the margins so the text appears like you want it.

Then save as format text only with line breaks.

Thank you! This is the solution.
