    Hi,

I’m trying a achieve an effect.
    Here are my two questions.
    1) I’m using particular to shoot out particles towards the camera that will stick on a wall layer. For some reason, when I orbit my camera, the particles appear 2 dimensional, and I cannot figure out why.

    2) Does anyone know how to make all my particles stick to my wall? Currently, only about 20% are sticking, and I cannot find the setting to make more stick.

    Thanks!!

Particular generates 2D particles that exist in a 3D space.

What do the other 80% of your particles do?

    Hi.

    1. I understand that they are 2d particles in 3d space, but when i watch the tutorials on trapcodes website, i can see the partices existing in 3d space as you said. However, in my comp, when I orbit, they are all flat on a 2d surface… howcome?

    2. The other 80% keep flying.. it may be my emmiter settings..

    Thanks!

Ok, I feel like a tool.
    Figured it all out.

    Thanks!

The layer that you have applied Particular to needs to be a 2D layer. Particular mirrors the 3D coordinate system of AE on a 2D layer.

What layer are you using as a wall? Is it set to use alpha or an infinite plane?
