Hi — have particles over background looking a bit like snow with turbulent wind – drifting rather than dashing around —

    – would like to add an effect where there is an occasional sparkle to the odd particle here and there – although if they failed to match up I doubt it would matter.

Anyone know the answer to this one please ?

I would try to render out the particles on black, use Levels to isolate the brightest particles and then apply Trapcode Starglow to create the sparkle effect.

    Mr. Brett

Select the Particular layer and apply “Trapcode Star Glow” Effect.
This will make particles glow like stars. You can then add a little bit of “Shimmer” to show twinkling or you can animate “Streak Length” to show occasional sparkle.
