Hey guys. I’ve made my particle effects to line up with my footage. i export the effects with all the alpha options except removing the black BG from the RGB.

However, when I import into AE or Premiere, the footage is invisible. I can see the footage in windows media player, and it also shows up in AE and Premiere if i ignore its Alpha…only problem then is I’ve got my effects on black.

I was following the tutorial from the wonder touch website but…no go. Any pointers?

    thanks very much,

    -Chris

If you load the rendered output back into particleIllusion, do the particles show? If not, the alpha channel is probably empty (not rendering).

Did you check the “create non-intense alpha” option? If so, and if all of the particles in the project are “intense”, none of them will be added to the alpha channel. This is intended behavior — check the docs.

Is the render occurring in particleIllusion itself, or in pIRender? If pIRender, you probably need to run pIRender manually and turn off hardware acceleration.

    Alan.

Did you choose a file format that has alpha?

Just making sure in case you did not know this already.
