  • Particles going off screen?

Posted by Kevin Hall on December 5, 2010 at 10:59 am

Hey guys, quick question. I have made a nice little particle explosion in its own composition and then added it to another composition where i realised i would have to make the path move, thus revealing the edge of the original comp when the particles dissapear before hitting the edge of the second comp. Is it possible to keep them going off screen?

I tried making the original comp bigger but the cut off stays there.

Try turning on the Collapse Transformations switch for your particle pre-comp layer. That should fix the problem.

In case you don’t know that’s the icon that looks like a sun to the right of the “shy” switch.

You need to not only make the original comp bigger, but also make the solid layer that the particle effect is applied to bigger.
