    I’m trying to create an animation out of thousands of little circles that move by following a (hidden) animated line shape, but also vibrate subtley (by using random motion behaviour). I’ve tried using the replicator and mapping it to the black and white line drawing, and that works. The drawing is animated, and the replicated circles do follow the line, but when I try to add the random motion behaviour it wont follow the drawing any longer, it just vibrates. I can’t figure out how to do both at the same time. If anybody can help I very much appreciate it.

    Heya,

    Sometimes simulation behaviors override other animation. You can still achieve your effect by rendering out a small movie of one of your wiggling circles and then replicating that movie. You can tell the replicator to use a random start frame for each point, so you can get a fairly-random wiggle while still maintaining flow.
