  • Particle World – stop emitiing and leave particles on floor

I am trying to create a Particle World effect that has particles emitting from an expolsion, the particles stick to the floor, and then the effect stops but leaves the particles on the floor. I have glue enabled, but I want the effect to stop emitting.

    Anyy suggestions?

to get the producer to stop emitting, you need to animate the birth rate to go from some value to zero. you can use hold keyframes to make the birth rate end abruptly, or use linear or ease keyframes to have them more gradually end.

you may also need to increase the longevity of the particles to have them stay on the floor for as long as you need them.

also, not all particle types work with the floor… line, for example, doesn’t, while faded sphere does.
