I am trying to use Particle Playground to make an object that, as it travels from the right side of the screen to the left side (like a comet) it shoots sparks out the back and has the sparks travel a little bit with the generator then fall down. Right now, the sparks fall out the back, but they float away in the opposite direction that the “comet” is moving.

I guess what I am asking about is how to control the gravity, inertia and life of the particles/”sparks”.

Without buying the plug-in, Particular from Trapcode I am trying to somewhat replicate the look of the sample on the Trapcode site of the Particular plug-in that shows “Reveal”

Any help or leads to tutorials would be apprecitated.

(I have looked at the online help, but it is not making sense to me)

Try adjusting the Force parameter inside Gravity. Also, play around with the Velocity settings. You may find that Foam (Simulation) will do a better job, I often use it for making particle trails.
