    Last week I was using Particle illusion just fine. I was exporting and Importing, rendering, etc. Now all of a Sudden, it will not open up for me. It says “Windows has encountered a Problem and program needs to shut down.” Same old error you always see for any program that crashes. I am using windows xp service pack 2, and PI with all the latest updates and emmitters. Ive restarted, shutdown, etc. And still the problem has not been fixed. I’m just really confused why it is doing this all of a sudden. Should I delete the Program and reinstall it (which means serial/machine codes # changes/ activations etc etc etc lol). Just wondering if there is a simple way to fix this.

    Thankyou,

    Andrew

    Andrew,

    most likely the registry has been messed up, there should be an option in your particleIllusion program group, Troubleshooting, reset default settings.

    So: Start->particleIllusion 3.0->Troubleshooting->reset default settings

    I hope this helps!
