particle illusion crashing

before disappears the intro window i opened the project settings and uncheck the automatic update setting, saved a composition and restart the application with no problems.
So the problem wan in automatic update.

Aha! If you hold down the Alt (option) key when launching particleIllusion, it will skip the autoupdate check.

I think that eventually it would have timed out and given you a message. I wonder how long that takes, and why it is not working for you?

If you do a “check for updates” once the program is running does it work, or does it still “lock up”?

How long does it take before it times out?

Do you have any firewall, anti-virus, etc. apps running? If so, what are they?

Hi everyone
I am using trial version of pI3. Everything worked fine until frame 3050. After that constantly I began to get “application error” and PI3 crashes. couple of time I rebooted, problem is still there, please help
Here is my comp config:

Intel Core Duo CPU E8400 @3.00 Ghz
3.25 GB of RAM
