Hi, I’m filming a widescreen (16:9, 720X480) project with a Sony HDR fx1. I have a few important particle effect sequences in the film, so, i wanted to get this all straightened out. basically, i export my clip from Premiere (CS3) and put it as the background in PI (with a stage size of 720×480…the other set of numbers under “stage size” is set to 320×240…I’m not sure what those mean.)

Anyway, I export the footage, and interpret it as 16:9 in Premiere (pixel aspect ratio of 1.2). My background footage looks great now, back to normal, but my particle effects are all stretched out….is there a way I can get particles to be the right aspect even after conformed to match widescreen footage?

    Thanks a lot,

    -Chris
