  Partially archiving from tape

  Hello everyone,

  I am trying to create new archive from my Sony HDV. There are two events on the tape and I want to create 2 archives. While I was able to create the first one (from the beginning of the tape) I have a hard time to create a second one from the middle of the tape. FCP starts to rewind tape immediately. Even if I stop rewinding and hit play it doesn’t archive the tape. Also I do not know how to stop archiving without not playing back the whole tape (I need just the part of it). Any idea how to create multiple archives from one tape?
