Part of Avid Media Files Offline
Hello,
I’m having a little problem with some footage in Avid that I got this week. The footage was consolidated by another editor so that i can now convert it to something more suiting for my purposes. (i actually want to edit on fcp, as I’m not doing really well with avid) As soon as i had opened those consolidated files i found that parts of them were offline, meaning that in my source window the media starts out being offlien and after ten minutes the picture starts to show. Ican hear some of the sound earlier though.
I’m not quite sure how that is possible. I’ve never seen anything like that before, deleting the Avid library files doesn’t seem to do anything. So now I’m stuck with approximately a third of the original footage available and the avid editor wasn’t able to help me with my problem. Does anyone know where this problem might come from and how I could be able to solve it?Thanks in advance,
Ronny Mueller
